Conference in motion

On Friday the Conference is in Motion

On board of the MS Admiral Tegetthoff – a flagship of the DDSG – the Conference moves from Vienna to Krems, situated on the boarder of the Wachau valley. Starting at the stop Reichsbrücke we pass the “modern Vienna” with its skyline, the Danube Tower and the Millennium Tower. The following cruise offers lovely views of the villages, meadows and forests along the river.
During the cruise, filled with lectures, discussion, round tables and a cultural programme (included in the participation fees), we have the opportunity to focus on talents and talented people… Definitely a particular highlight and an excellent platform to delve into the topic and to socialize and network… Ship AHOY!

Program

The half-day at the Danube University Krems focuses on the recognition of giftedness in adulthood, again within the context of migration.

Given demographic changes and social responsibility required by the Lifelong Learning concept of the European Union, this great challenge is worth to be dealt with intensity. One possibility would be to participate in continuing higher education. Within this context, relevant excerpts from two research areas are presented as input to the ECHA-half day in Krems: migration and globalization and continuing education research.

A panel between generations in terms of dialogue and creative ideas will be held. Gifted children and young people in STEM programs supported by the Lower Austrian government will be brought together, so that we will have the opportunity to actively address the future needs of young people of today, to develop the foundations for their future as part of the Lifelong Learning together.

Format: Keynotes, Panel and Intergenerational Dialogue
